Cancer Patient Services Corporation is a charitable organization which its located in Mount Forest, Ontario. The organization is dedicated to providing transportation and other services to cancer patients in the Mount Forest Catchment area. There is no fee to cancer patients for any of our services
Our qualified volunteer drivers transport patients to cancer treatment centres and doctor appointments in Kitchener, London, Hamilton, Toronto, and many smaller centres including the Chemotherapy Clinic at Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest. Drivers receive a gasoline allowance.
The Cancer Care Coordinator, whose position is funded by Cancer Patient Services Corporation, is available at the office at the Family Health Clinic in Mount Forest. The Cancer Care Coordinator guides patients and their families on their journey through cancer diagnosis and treatment, providing practical guidance and emotional support at the office and in the patient’s home.
Cancer Patient Services is fully funded through memorial and other donations as well as various fund-raising projects throughout the year. The Mount Forest Thrift Shop is a significant provider of funds which are divided equally between Cancer Patient Services Corporation and The Louise Marshal Hospital Foundation.
Tax receipts are provided to our many donors who are both generous and loyal. Their commitment and that of our many volunteers enables CPSC to carry out its mandate.
